Luna is an in-network and fully credentialed Medicare provider. Patients with Medicare with a secondary insurance have no out-of-pocket expense, and those without a secondary simply pay their standard co-pay. We handle benefits verification for you and communicate with you throughout the process.
Our therapists are available for on-demand physical therapy appointments across the United States. We come to you to make the PT experience as convenient as possible. See our service areas.
Appointments are available 7 days a week, from 6:30 am-8:30 pm. We make it hassle-free to complete your full course of care by having your Luna therapist come to you. In general, our therapists treat patients at home. See our clinic comparison chart.
You do not need a prescription to start physical therapy. As a Medicare patient, you can see a therapist without a referral. We’ll also work with you to communicate your progress with your physician. Read more about prescriptions.
We strive to have a single therapist work with each patient for their entire course of care. Sometimes, your scheduling priorities may require adjustments, but you’ll always know who is seeing you for your appointment in advance.
In Ohio, Direct Access rules allow patients to be seen for physical therapy without a prescription. If the patient does not demonstrate progress within 30 days, the patient must be referred to an appropriate healthcare provider.
Medicare requires a signed plan of care for physical therapy. Your Luna therapist will create a plan of care during your first visit, and the Luna team will work with your doctor to get it approved. You will need a new plan of care established every 90 days or 10 visits whichever is sooner.
